Greetings

Greetings. With this blog I want to give a contribution to graphic Colombian production throught comic. I'm a fan of superhero comics and my purpose is to create Colombian superheroes while giving some social criticism and showing some aspects of our culture. I hope you find my work interesting and don't feel so called out on it.
For a start I'll publish the first episode of Madre Monte, one of the main characters, as an introduction. Next I'll develop all the stories simultaneously, publishing page by page. I'll describe each character as I advance.
My verse's background is more or less like this:
The world suffered a seriously acute social and moral decomposition due to factors such as the thugton and trash media phenomena, the social problems plaguing the youth and the lack of an adequate life objective, the social crisis produced by the lack of education and the corruption of various countries' governments to the point that there was a threat of global crisis. The Catholic church decided to take matters in its own hands, taking the chance to re-indoctrinate the masses of those countries in which it held enough influence, among them Colombia. But this new dominion became difficult for them due to other countries- warnings which forced them to maintain a masque of respect for democracy while, under the table, initiating their neo-Inquisitorial operations. Add to that that in Colombia the drug lords and guerrilla hadn't been so keen to release the power they have gained and are ready and willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to maintain it and get even more, as well and rumors that circulate among the populace, of unknown origins but harmful and extensive effect, and you find a Colombia divided in three zones controled in a relatively absolute manner by the three factions and a war that maintains itself constant in certain regions, leaving the Colombians in a situation of utter fear and dependence, except for some people, few and far between, who try to go against all of this. The Church's neo-Inquisition has attempted to reinstate its doctrine to the point those who don't think accordingly (The LGBT community among others) are now forced to go in hiding or take up arms, aggravating the conflict. (I'll develop this background graphically)
